Same as carp in the river - you catch them you have to kill them.

So I'm wondering why the hares would be saved and then released as they are also a feral animal - a cute one none the less! Or do you mean you would take them on as pets? Which is an entirely different matter. I may have mis-read. :)

xxEmma Christianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08500696381837942950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3530385219049793292.post-69782517976104550322015-02-21T10:21:50.306+10:002015-02-21T10:21:50.306+10:00yes, they are an introduced species but so are rab...yes, they are an introduced species but so are rabbits, dogs & cats, rabbits are just cuter to have as pets...
selinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10173172460099566314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3530385219049793292.post-55526235846495650422015-02-21T07:19:53.253+10:002015-02-21T07:19:53.253+10:00Hares are an introduced feral species yes? I'm confused as to why they would be allowed to be released again in the wild?

Whilst they are not as much of a problem as rabbits here I would have thought they would have to be euthanized? They do tend to damage young gums and other young native plants as they ring bark them.

xx Emma Christianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08500696381837942950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3530385219049793292.post-740235030125335922015-02-18T22:47:41.219+10:002015-02-18T22:47:41.219+10:00no rabbits here in this area that i've seen, t...no rabbits here in this area that i've seen, they are out of control down woodford, kilcoy & maleny way though, or were a few years ago, have only seen hares here. too many native & feral predators here perhaps, who knowsselinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10173172460099566314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3530385219049793292.post-89779351742800870922015-02-18T22:23:43.080+10:002015-02-18T22:23:43.080+10:00Very cute, Selina. They have been seen not far from here and I heard on the news that they are becoming a real pest once again. Glad you saved the hares from the cat.
